A state appeals court has tossed out a Sheboygan Falls man's sexual assault conviction because a police officer lied when he told him that he'd never get a chance to testify at his trial. Daniel Rejholec pleaded guilty in 2018 to sexually assaulting his girlfriend's 14-year-old daughter and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. 6-11-21 six more covid-19 deaths reported in fdl county

Six more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Fond du Lac County.   According to the Fond du Lac County Health Department two men, ages 56 and 94, and four women, ages, 60, 84, 93,  and 94 died from complications due to COVID-19.  There have now been 119 COVID-19 deaths in Fond du Lac County since the beginning of  the pandemic.

6-11-21 abandoned car pulled from rock river in dodge county

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how a car ended up in the Rock River.  Two people swimming in the river off the bridge on Elmwood Road Wednesday afternoon spotted a submerged vehicle and dialed 911.  The unoccupied BMW car was pulled from the river.  Anyone with further information involving this incident is asked to call the Dodge County Sheriff’s office at  (920)386-3726.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Veterans Museum plans to reopen next month after state officials shut it down for 16 months amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 6-11-21 outdoor theater gets $10 million donation

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — An outdoor theater struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic has received a massive donation. The Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation has handed the American Players Theatre $10 million. The theatre, located outside Spring Green, scrapped its 2020 season due to the pandemic, resorting to online performances and putting renovation plans on hold. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new memo from the Legislature's budget office says Wisconsin is at risk of losing $2.3 billion in federal coronavirus relief money for K-12 schools. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Senate has voted to prohibit police from using chokeholds, except in life-threatening situations or to defend themselves.
