6-8-21 car vs. bike crash sends fdl girl to the hospital

6-8-21 wisconsin prisons to resume in-person visits

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin prison officials have decided to end their ban on in-person visits as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides. The state Department of Corrections announced Monday people can resume scheduling in-person visits on June 16. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee filed a lawsuit in May demanding that the department relax restrictions and allow ministers to visit inmates. Walleye Weekend Festival goers can get the COVID-19 vaccine this weekend.  The Fond du Lac County Health Department and Agnesian HealthCare-SSM Health are offering a Walleye Weekend walk-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic.   Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller  the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines will be available on Saturday.  The clinic will be offered to anyone 12 years of age and over who has not received the vaccine yet.  […]

6-8-21 bumpy economic recovery

A retired Ripon College economist says he agrees with the assessment of Treasury secretary Janet Yellen  that the economic recovery is going to be Bumpy.  Retired Ripon College economist Paul Schoofs says any inflation pressures would  likely be only temporary.  Schoofs says the good news is unemployment continues to fall and the U.S. economy grew at a solid rate during the first quarter.
