MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Natural Resources has canceled Wisconsin's sharp-tailed grouse season for the third year in a row to protect the population. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes quietly received his diploma from Alabama A&M University in May 2020, 12 years after he attended classes there. Barnes came under criticism two years ago for saying that he had a degree even though he had not yet fulfilled all the requirements to receive one. 7-12-21 fdl police investigating altercation that sends two people to the hospital

Two people were treated at the hospital following an altercation in Fond du Lac.   Shortly after 5:30pm Sunday police were called to the area of 92 Forest Ave for a report of an altercation taking place and someone possibly being cut with some type of sharp instrument. 7-12-21 fdl man arrested following high speed chase

An 18 year old Fond du Lac man was arrested following a high speed chase over the weekend.  The chase started early Sunday morning when a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Winnebago Drive at Prairie Road for a speeding violation.  The chase continued south on Highway 151, where the vehicle ran over stop sticks,  losing both driver side tires.  The suspect turned east on Rienzi Road and was stopped by […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin wildlife officials are asking people to be on the lookout for sickly birds. 7-12-21 beaver dam man sentenced to prison in child porn case

A Beaver Dam man described as a misogynist by prosecutors is going to prison for possession of child pornography.  Dodge County Circuit judge Kristine Snow sentenced 51 year old Adam Biddle  to six years in prison and twenty years of extended supervision.    In 2020, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received two tips regarding possible child pornography that was being transmitted through online media accounts.    According to a criminal complaint officers […]
