(AP) — Nearly 100,000 Wisconsin voters identified as potentially having moved since the fall of 2019 are being mailed post cards from the state Elections Commission this week telling them how to ensure their registration address is up to date. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Soldiers from a Wisconsin National Guard unit will head to the southwestern border to provide security. 7-8-21 waupun correctional officer attacked by inmate

A Waupun prison correctional officer was seriously injured after being attacked by an inmate.  Sources tell WFDL news the inmate punched the officer in the head in the kitchen area at Waupun Correctional Institution knocking the officer to the floor, and then kicked the officer in the head.  The officer was transported by ambulance to the hospital.   The incident was reported Tuesday evening.  The inmate, John Gillum, is in prison after being convicted […]

7-8-21 mayville man sentenced to prison for 7th owi

A Mayville man convicted of repeat drunken driving is going to prison.   Dodge County Circuit judge Martin DeVries sentenced 56  year old Gregory Cundy to three years in prison and five years extended supervision.  Cundy was earlier  convicted of OWI Seventh Offense and Obstructing an Officer.    In July of 2019 police received a call that a car trying to parallel park collided with a vehicle behind it and then sped away.   After […]

7-8-21 kangaroo spotted in fdl county

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate multiple sightings of a Kangaroo in the county.   A woman who lives along Highway 151 in Malone told dispatchers she saw the kangaroo eating berries from a tree in her yard Monday night.  Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says it’s a first for the Sheriff’s Office.  Tadych says deputies are prepared to try to safely capture the animal with the use of a […]
