7-28-21 lomira woman sentenced to prison in death of toddler son

A Lomira woman convicted in connection with the death of her  three year old son is going to prison.   Dodge County Circuit judge Joseph Sciascia sentenced 33 year old Jamie Hildebrandt  to ten years in prison and ten years extended supervision for neglecting a child causing death stemming from an incident in March of last year.   According to a criminal complaint Hildebrant told detectives she laid the child on the floor to change his […]

7-28-21 delta variant fueling surge in covid cases

The seven-day rolling average for new COVID-19 cases has skyrocketed over the past few weeks in Wisconsin.  The Department of Health Services posted on Twitter that the seven-day rolling average in the state has increased by 160% in the past two weeks.   Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says Fond du Lac County’s rolling seven day average is in the low teens. MARINETTE, Wis. (AP) — An 84-year-old man was convicted Tuesday of murder in the 1976 shootings of a couple camping in a northeast Wisconsin park. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee and its former police chief could finally part ways after a lengthy legal battle. The Milwaukee Common Council voted Tuesday to approve a $627,000 settlement with Alfonso Morales over his demotion last year. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich has tested positive for the coronavirus and is showing mild symptoms. Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns says Yelich and utilityman Jace Peterson have been placed on the COVID-19 injured list. Yelich has been vaccinated against the virus.
