Businesses and organizations in the Fond du Lac area have been busy conducting school supply drives for Back to School FDL. Organizers need supply drive hosts and individual donors to drop off all school supply donations by Friday August 13 so volunteers can sort and organize the items in time for Distribution Day which is set for Saturday, August 21. You can drop off your school supply donations at The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac or the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac. Back to School FDL is also seeking volunteers to help with this community-wide collaboration. Many people are still needed to help sort and pack supplies on Friday, August 20, 2021.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
