Moraine Park Technical College has presented ASTOP with its 2021 Community Partnership Award. This award recognizes a community organization that has gone above and beyond in their role of working with Moraine Park students in community impact opportunities. ASTOP is a sexual assault service provider that serves Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Waushara counties. They offer treatment, outreach, prevention, and advocacy, emphasizing hope and connection to self and others. In 2021, despite Covid restrictions, Moraine Park student volunteers served more than 300 hours at ASTOP.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
