Two brothers accused in Marathon County of posing as FedEx employees to steal money are now facing federal charges of money laundering. A criminal complaint says 27-year-old Mario Amezcua-Cardenas and 20-year-old Moises Amezcua-Cardenas, of Rothschild, contacted employees at businesses in the Stevens Point, Rib Mountain and Wausau areas pretending to work for FedEx. The USA Patriots are in Fond du Lac this week  to play softball and to host their annual Kid’s Camp.  Sixteen kids, ages 8-12 who have amputations and limb deformities are participating in camp activities at Oven Island in Lakeside Park.  Event organizer Rob VandeZande says the kids are taught that life without a limb is limitless.  The USA Patriots softball team will play a softball game on Saturday August 14 at Dock Spider […]

The Fond du Lac Ethics Board is scheduled to meet in closed session next week to hear an ethics complaint.  A meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday August 18 at the Fond du Lac city county government center.  The subject of the alleged violation is confidential  until the board decides if there is a finding of probable cause.  Before the closed door meeting the board will meet in open session to elect a chairperson and vice chair.
