The Fond du Lac police chief says he is pleased the two men arrested in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac man nearly four years ago have been convicted. Jesse Schultz entered a guilty plea last month to First Degree Reckless Homicide and in July a jury convicted Devon Neumann of Party to the Crime of First Degree Intentional Homicide in the shooting death of Logan Foster. Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says the police detective bureau poured in hundreds and hundreds of hours into the investigation to ensure that justice was served. The shooting happened September 23, 2017 in a parking lot across the street from the Press Box Tavern on Forest Avenue. Investigators believe Schutlz and Neumann attempted to rob Foster, an altercation ensued, and Foster was shot twice and killed. While some evidence would have have been allowed had the case gone to trial, Goldstein says investigators believe it was Schultz who pulled the trigger.
