MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Workers have reinstalled two statues on the Wisconsin Capitol grounds that protesters damaged during a demonstration last year following George Floyd's death. 9-22-21 st. mary’s springs academy to play homecoming football game on the ledge

9-21-21 semi vs. car crash in rosendale

A Rosendale woman was seriously injured in a collision with a semi in the village of Rosendale.   The crash happened about 8:30pm Monday at the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 23.  According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office a semi traveling west on Highway 23 failed to stop for a red traffic signal colliding with a northbound vehicle operated by a 31-year-old Rosendale woman.   She was not wearing a seatbelt and […]

9-21-21 car strikes house in fdl county

Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a crash early Tuesday morning on Highway C in Fond du Lac County.   According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office the driver was southbound on Highway C when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road and struck a house.  The driver received minor injuries.   The crash happened shortly after 1:30am Tuesday.

9-21-21 child sex assault prison sentence

A long prison sentence has been handed down for a Theresa man convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.   Dodge County Circuit judge Martin De Vries sentenced 36 year old Anthony Barron to 32 ½ years  in prison followed by 24 years of extended supervision for three sex-related crimes. 9-21-21 free mobile covid-19 testing in fdl county

Free mobile COVID-19 testing  for all Fond du Lac County residents ages two and older starts this week.  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the Health Department is partnering with Accelerated Clinical Laboratories to provide the mobile testing in Rosendale and Fond du Lac starting Tuesday.  Testing will be held from noon to 5pm Tuesdays at the Rosendale Community Center and Thursdays at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.   The testing is free […]

9-21-21 vaccination rates vary widely on uw-system campuses

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin officials say student vaccination rates for COVID-19 vary widely among the system’s campuses. At the Madison campus, 91% of students are fully vaccinated, the highest number among the system’s universities. The lowest number of vaccinated students are at UW-Parkside where 38% have been inoculated. Other campuses range from 75% at La Crosse to 46% at Stevens Point.
