MENOMONIE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say four people found slain in an abandoned SUV in a western Wisconsin cornfield had been shot and were all from Minnesota. Dunn County sheriff's officials said Tuesday autopsies showed the two men and two women died of gunshot wounds. 9-16-21 beaver dam man sentenced in fatal drug-related crash

A Beaver Dam man convicted in connection with a fatal drug-related car crash more than two years ago is going to prison.   Dodge County judge Martin De Vries has sentenced 36 year old  Dustin Vandergailen to 21 and a half years in prison and 19 years extended supervision.   Earlier this year Vandergailen pled no  contest  to multiple charges including Homicide by Vehicle –Use of Controlled Substance 2nd or subsequent offense.   According to a criminal complaint […]

9-16-21 dodge county sheriff’s office helping louisiana sheriffs impacted by hurricane ida

9-15-21 fdl county public health officer concerned about young ages of covid victims

The Fond  du Lac County Public Health Officer says she is saddened by the recent COVID-19 deaths in the county and concerned about the young ages of some of the victims.    The Health Department reported Friday that three men, ages 48, 53 and 55 had died from COVID-19.  An obituary in the newspaper reported Friday a 50 year old man died at St. Agnes Hospital Friday from complications due to COVID-19.  Public Health Officer […]
