North Fond du Lac school officials will review data this week and decide whether a mask mandate will remain in place or be lifted. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the good news is the number of COVID-19 cases in schools and in the District has declined since the 15 day masking requirement was implemented. Sadoff says he’s proud of the students, staff and community. He says during this latest COVID surge kids have been able to stay in school.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
