10-27-21 covid cases decreasing in fdl county, two more covid deaths

Tumbling COVID-19 case counts have some schools around the U.S. considering relaxing their mask rules, but deaths nationally have been ticking up over the past few weeks.  In Fond du Lac County, Public Health Officer Kim Mueller, says the number of daily positive COVID-19  cases has peaked or is on the decline.   “We are really happy about this.  We would probably say our cases have plateaued or now are decreasing,”  Mueller told WFDL news.    Meanwhile, the state Department of Health Services reported two more COVID-19 deaths in Fond du Lac County this week.  The number of people hospitalized in Fond du Lac County has also increased recently.  After dropping to nine last week, the number of people hospitalized in Fond du Lac County with the virus is now at 15.
