The Fond du Lac city government center north parking lot is being repaved starting Monday. Construction will start on the section closest to the building followed by the section along Second Street. Construction is expected to last through October 19. During construction the public will be allowed to park on Second and Macy Streets for up to two hours at no charge.
A Fond du Lac intersection is closed for the next several days for repair work. The intersection closure of Doty Street and Arndt Street will be closed through end of the day Thursday, October 14 to allow the paving contractor to complete permanent pavement restoration in the intersection as part of the Doty Street reconstruction project.
A Fond du Lac High School student arrested following a fight at the school last week has been charged. Seventeen year old James Baemmert made his initial court appearance Friday on charges of battery, battery or threat to a law enforcement officer, resisting, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
