10-11-21 fire damages fdl restaurant

Nobody was injured after fire damaged a Fond  du Lac restaurant.  Shortly before 9pm Sunday firefighters were called to a report of a smell  of smoke in the area of 10th and South Main Street and found  smoke coming from the roof of A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen restaurant.   Firefighters encountered heavy smoke conditions inside the building and  quickly extinguished t he fire, but  not before it caused damage.  The restaurant was not […]

10-11-21 feds won’t seek charges against cop in jacob blake shooting

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say they won't file charges against a white police officer who shot Jacob Blake in Wisconsin last year. 10-11-21 fdl city-county government center parking lot pavement project

The Fond du Lac city government center north parking lot is being repaved starting Monday.   Construction will start on the section closest to the building followed by the section along Second Street.   Construction is expected to last through October  19.  During construction the public will be allowed to park on Second and Macy Streets for up to two hours at no charge.

10-11-21 fdl intersection closed this week for repair work

A Fond du Lac intersection is closed for the next several days for repair work.  The intersection closure of Doty Street and Arndt Street will be closed through end of the day Thursday, October 14 to allow the paving contractor to complete permanent pavement restoration in the intersection as part of the Doty Street reconstruction project.

10-11-21 fdl high school student charged in connection with fight at school

A Fond du Lac High School student arrested following a fight at the school last week has been charged.  Seventeen year old James Baemmert  made his initial court appearance Friday on charges of battery, battery or threat to a law enforcement officer,  resisting, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.  He was released on a $2500 signature bond.  According to court documents as of this week Baemmert is now living in Milwaukee.  According to a […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A violent night of gunfire in Milwaukee has left several people dead and at least six injured in separate shootings. Police say three people are dead and one is in critical condition following a shooting on the city’s north side about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
