The North Fond du Lac School Board has appointed two new members to fill vacancies on the board.  At a special meeting Tuesday night the board interviewed 14 candidates and selected Jonathan Goeckerman and Terry Jaeger to fill the open seats.  Goeckerman works in the human resources department at the Kroger Company, and Jaeger works as a supervisor in the Wisconsin Corrections System.  They replace Shawn Pollack and Paula Stettbacher […]

10-20-21 fdl county board approves bonuses for dispatchers

The Fond du Lac County Board has approved bonuses for 911 Communication Center workers.  The board has approved a resolution designating American Rescue Plan Act funds to provide a $1,000 quarterly bonus payment to full-time dispatchers, dispatch supervisors and the administrative dispatcher.  County executive Al  Buechel says the bonuses will help in the area of recruitment and retention.

10-20-21 plymouth council terminates contract with city administrator skiff

Former Fond du Lac Public Works director Jordan Skiff is no longer the Plymouth city administrator.  At a special meeting Tuesday night the Plymouth city council voted to terminate their employment contract with Skiff.    A statement from the mayor did not give a reason.   The mayor stated it is the city's policy not to discuss personnel  matters.  Skiff began his position with Plymouth in January.  He was hired as Fond du Lac Public […]

10-20-21 fdl county budget unveiled

The Fond du Lac County Board got it's  first look at a proposed 2021-22 budget.  County executive Al Buechel presented the proposed budget at Tuesday night's board meeting.  Buechel says one of the big ticket items in the budget is reconstruction of Pioneer Road in the area of West Johnson Street.  Buechel says the budget also earmarks money to replace the county's financial software at a cost of $3 million.  […]
