A Fond du Lac County man was seriously injured Friday after falling from a ladder. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the 65 year old man lost his balance and fell approximately 20 feet to a concrete floor at his residence on Highway G in the town of Forest while changing a light fixture. He was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with what were believed to be serious injuries.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
