MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Republican-controlled Wisconsin state Senate has approved a redistricting plan similar to one passed a decade ago. The Senate on Monday voted along party lines, 21-12, in favor of GOP-drawn maps that would stay in place for the next 10 years in legislative and congressional districts. 11-9-21 new fdl pier elementary school playground equipment

The Green Bay Packer Foundation is helping to make a new Fond du Lac Pier Elementary School playground a reality.     The Foundation has awarded the Pier PTO a $5,000 grant toward the project to help upgrade the current playground and it's aging equipment.   Pier principal Amy Jahns says the grant is part of a $130,000 fundraising effort, that has so far raised nearly $84,000.   Jahns says the first phase of the project will […]

11-9-21 grothman introduces fentanyl penalties parity act

Republican congressman Glenn Grothman has introduced a bill that targets the growing fentanyl problem.  The Fentanyl Penalties Parity Act would reduce the amount of the drug an individual can be in possession of before they are charged with a federal crime.  According to a press release from Grothman, under current law, an offense must involve 400 or more grams of a substance containing fentanyl  to trigger a mandatory minimum sentence.  By comparison, the mandatory […]
