11-8-21 missing dodge county woman found safe

11-8-21 dodge county marsh fire

More than two dozen  fire departments battled a marsh fire in Dodge County for several hours  over the weekend.  Shortly after 2:30pm Saturday firefighters were called to Mud Lake Marsh on Walton Road for a report of a fire on the north end of the lake.  Drones from  the Wisconsin State Drone Network  were flying the area to make sure there were no longer hot spots that might reignite.  There were no homes or structures damaged.

11-8-21 governor evers orders flags at half-staff in honor of navy apprentice killed at pearl harbor

Gov. Tony Evers has ordered flags  to be flown at half-staff on Monday in honor of Navy Hospital Apprentice 1st Class Keefe R. Connolly, who lost his life in the attack on Pearl Harbor.   Connolly was one of 429 crewmen who lost their lives when the USS Oklahoma was attacked  by Japanese aircraft.  His remains were interred shortly after World War II and identified earlier this year.    “I want to thank all […]

11-6-21 evers vetoes education bill meant to help ‘at risk’ readers

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has vetoed a plan that would have overhauled how elementary schools work with young children who struggle to read. Evers says it needs more money to support the changes. 11-6-21 rodgers sought treatments instead of covid-19 vaccine

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he sought alternative treatments instead of the NFL-endorsed COVID-19 vaccinations because he is allergic to an ingredient in two of the FDA-approved shots. The 37-year-old Rodgers did not say what ingredient he was allergic to, or how he knows he is allergic. 11-6-21 traffic restrictions at fdl intersection

The Department of Public Works is alerting motorists of  traffic lane restrictions  at the intersection of Park Avenue and Johnson Street.   The lane restrictions on Park Avenue are in place to allow the utility contractor  to complete concrete work on Park Avenue. These restrictions will be in place through the week  although two-way traffic will be maintained.
