11-22-21 smash and grab robbery at kohls department store in fdl

Nobody was injured in a smash and grab robbery in the jewelry department at Kohls Department Store in Fond du Lac.  According to Fond du Lac Police shortly after 5:30pm Sunday two men wearing masks entered the store and one man smashed the display cases in the jewelry section with a hammer taking jewelry.  The suspect was detained by citizen bystanders until police arrived.  The second suspect fled the scene on foot.   He was […]

11-22-21 nobody injured after vehicle ends up in lake winnebago

Nobody was injured when a vehicle ended up in Lake Winnebago in Lakeside Park.  Shortly after 7:30pm Sunday rescue personnel were called to the scene near Frazier Point  for a report that two children were on the hood of the vehicle and two other adults were inside.   Rescue crews found all occupants out on the shore uninjured.  Fond du Lac police are investigating how the vehicle ended up in the lake. photo: fdl […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin judge says the Department of Natural Resources violated the law by not immediately scheduling a wolf hunting season after federal protections were removed in February. 11-22-21 fdl county man seriously injured in fall from ladder

A Fond du Lac County man was seriously injured Friday after falling from a ladder.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says the 65 year old man lost his balance and fell approximately 20 feet to a concrete floor at his residence  on Highway G in the town of Forest while changing a light fixture.  He was flown by helicopter to  ThedaCare Regional Medical Center  in Neenah with what were believed to be […]

11-22-21 two people seriously injured in pickup vs tractor crash in dodge county

Two people were seriously injured in a pickup vs farm tractor crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened Thursday afternoon on Welsh Road near Five Mile Road about three miles north of Watertown.    An initial investigation showed the pickup truck was southbound on Welsh Road and collided with a tractor that entered the roadway from a private driveway.  The pickup truck rolled over in the ditch after the collision.  The driver of the […]
