A memorial service was held last week for the eight year old boy killed in the Waukesha Christmas parade. Around the state students at schools are showing their support and paying tribute to Jackson Sparks including St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac.
“We honor you, Jackson Sparks, as you are laid to rest today.
May God grant peace to your family and friends.”

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
