Wisconsin’s 43rd Governor, Scott McCallum, announced his support for Rohn Bishop for Mayor of Waupun. “I’m glad to support Rohn for Waupun! Everyone knows Rohn is passionate about Waupun and loves his community!” McCallum said, “I was proud of Rohn for how he led our county party, and I think he’ll make a fine mayor for the good people of Waupun.” “I was humbled when Governor McCallum unexpectedly called me to offer his support,” Bishop said, “but I wasn’t shocked. Scott McCallum is one of the nicest and most decent people I’ve worked with in the many years I’ve been involved in the political process.” Bishop added, ” while I was GOP chair, there were a few times I was being criticized for a position I took, and McCallum would reach out with words of encouragement. I have a ton of respect for Governor McCallum and am honored to have his endorsement!” McCallum represented Waupun in the State Senate from 1977-1985, before serving as Lieutenant Governor in the Thompson Administration, and then as the 43rd Governor of Wisconsin from 2001-2003.
