Two people were injured following a three vehicle crash in Fond du Lac. Shortly before 5pm Wednesday rescue personnel were called to North Main Street at Arndt Street for a report of a vehicle striking a parked vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers discovered a pedestrian was struck and sustained a severe leg injury. The driver of the striking vehicle was found unconscious. The pedestrian, a 45 year old Fond du Lac man, was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle is a 29 year old Fond du Lac resident was transported to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac with undisclosed injuries.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
