12-14-21 covid-19 cases increasing in fdl schools

The Fond du Lac School District superintendent says the number of students and staff testing positive for COVID1-9 have steadily increased since the Thanksgiving break.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig updated the school board at their meeting Monday night.  Dr. Fleig says as a result of the increase in cases four elementary  schools in the district are now requiring masks.   Dr. Fleig admits there were discussions about virtual learning when COVID cases were spiking […]

12-14-21 fdl county covid-19 hospitalizations remain high

The number of patients hospitalized in Fond du Lac County with COVID-19 continues to remain high.    According to the Fond du Lac County Public Health Office dashboard, 23 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says that places a strain on hospitals that are already short-staffed.  Last week Wisconsin's top health official said 270 Wisconsin health care facilities have requested staffing help and the state has asked for medical […]

12-14-21 two more covid-19 deaths in fdl county

Two more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Fond du Lac County.  The Public Health Department says a 30 year old woman and a 79 year old man have died from the virus.   There have been 162 COVID-19 deaths in Fond du Lac County since the beginning of the pandemic.

12-13-21 two fdl teens arrested following high speed chase

Two Fond du Lac teenagers have been arrested following a high speed chase over the weekend.  The chase started shortly after midnight Sunday when a sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a vehicle speeding more than 45 miles an hour over the speed limit  on Winnebago Drive at Luco Road.  The chase  continued for approximately 2 miles before the vehicle stopped and the passenger  fled  on foot.  The driver , a 17 […]
