1-6-22 fdl police department in the process of hiring new officers

The Fond du Lac Police Department is wasting no time in starting the process of hiring new police officers approved by voters last year as part of a public safety referendum.  Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says three new hires start the recruit academy this week.  Goldstein says another hiring process starts at the end of this week.  Goldstein says he’s thankful voters approved the six new police officers and six firefighters last April.  Goldstein says he wants to make sure that he is hiring people with high degrees of integrity and trustworthiness and who are understanding and professional.  He says he hopes the Department is at full strength in the next 18 months.
