1-6-22 resolutions for fraud-free year

Pandemic aside, the loss of money, personal information, and perserverance of scammers continue with online purchase scams as the most riskiest of scams.  The Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin is offering five New Year’s  resolutions for a fraud-free new year.  Northeast Wisconsin Regional director for the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin Susan Bach says the first resolution is to be cautious with email.  Number two…”I resolve to never send money to strangers”    Bach says resolve to do your research before making online payments and purchases.  Finally resolve to use your best judgement when sharing any personal information to avoid identity theft and resolve to be social media smart by making use of privacy settings on social media and only connecting with people you know.
