1-10-22 new fdl chegwin elementary school principal

Fond du Lac’s Chegwin Elementary School  has a new principal.  The Fond du Lac School District has hired  Nate Groves to the post.  Groves has been serving as the Interim Principal for the school since July of 2021.   Prior to that, Groves served as the Assistant Principal at Fond du Lac High School since 2019.   “I am pleased to recommend Mr. Groves as the principal of Chegwin Elementary School,” said Dr. Jeffrey Fleig, Superintendent of the Fond du Lac School District. “Mr. Groves will provide outstanding instructional leadership for Chegwin which will ultimately lead to improved student achievement.”   Groves received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Cardinal Stritch University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  Groves began his educational career in Arizona where he taught high school social studies. In 2016,  Groves joined the Fond du Lac School District to teach AP Psychology at Fond du Lac High School.
