The Fond du Lac County Health Department will begin offering the initial series of the pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5-11 during Thursday vaccination clinics on January 20th. 1-18-22 eight year old fatally shot in milwaukee identified

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the young girl fatally shot over the weekend in Milwaukee. Police say they are investigating the death of 8-year-old Tiana Huddleston as a homicide. A 47-year-old man is accused of handling a firearm that discharged and struck the girl, who died at a nearby hospital on Saturday. The man was taken into custody. 1-18-22 fdl man seriously injured in ladder fall

1-18-22 fdl area united way campaign winding down

The Fond du Lac Area United Way is closing in on 90-percent of it's fundraising goal.  With two weeks left in the campaign, United Way executive director Amber Kilawee says the fund drive is at 88-percent of the $625,000 goal. People can still make donations for this year's campaign through January 31.

1-18-22 governor accepting applications for green lake county coroner

Gov. Tony Evers  has announced  that he is seeking applicants for appointment as coroner  in Green Lake County.  The appointment will fill the vacancy created by the death of Daniel Krieser, who died last November  at the age of 54.  The new coroner will complete a term through Jan. 1, 2023.  Applications  can be found on the “Apply to Serve” page on Gov. Evers’ website and the application deadline is January 28.

1-17-22 fatal rollover crash-fdl county

A one vehicle rollover crash in Fond du Lac County has claimed the life of a  Campbellsport woman.  The victim has been identified as 65 year old Margaret Weaver of Campbellsport.  The crash happened shortly before 6:30pm Friday on state Highway 45 south of Mitchell Road.  A preliminary investigation shows the vehicle  was southbound on 45  when it failed to negotiate a  curve, entered the ditch and overturned.    Speed appears […]
