1-5-22 persons of interest in custody in fdl shooting death

Two persons of interest in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac  man are in custody on unrelated probation violations.  Twenty six year old Benzel Rose was found shot to death October 17 at a residence in the 300 block of 8th Street.  The two persons of interest have not been charged in connection with the death.  Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says detectives are still conducting interviews and  evidence is being processed at the […]

1-5-22 drive sober or get pulled over

Fond du Lac County Sheriff's deputies made more than a dozen arrests of suspected impaired drivers during the recent Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.  Fifteen suspected impaired driving arrests were made during the enforcement campaign between December 17 and New Year’s Day.  Deputies also issued numerous other citations and made arrests during traffic stops including  61 speeding violations and 11 felony arrests for illegal drugs and bail jumping.

1-5-22 huge jump in positive covid-19 cases in fdl county

The Fond du Lac County Health Department is reporting a huge jump in positive COVID-19 cases to start the new year.  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says 345 new cases were confirmed Tuesday.  Mueller says if you test positive, let people know who you were in contact with two days prior to when you started to have symptoms.  "We're seeing whole families test positive,"  Mueller told WFDL news.  "When it comes to […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A $10 million grant from an anonymous donor will allow America’s Black Holocaust Museum to reopen in Milwaukee next month following years of struggles to remain viable. The museum was founded in 1988 and closed in 2008.
