Two persons of interest in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac man are in custody on unrelated probation violations. Twenty six year old Benzel Rose was found shot to death October 17 at a residence in the 300 block of 8th Street. The two persons of interest have not been charged in connection with the death. Fond du Lac County Sheriff's deputies made more than a dozen arrests of suspected impaired drivers during the recent Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Fifteen suspected impaired driving arrests were made during the enforcement campaign between December 17 and New Year’s Day. Deputies also issued numerous other citations and made arrests during traffic stops including 61 speeding violations and 11 felony arrests for illegal drugs and bail jumping.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A $10 million grant from an anonymous donor will allow America’s Black Holocaust Museum to reopen in Milwaukee next month following years of struggles to remain viable. The museum was founded in 1988 and closed in 2008.
