2-3-22 fdl county board oks salary increase for sheriff, clerk of courts

The Fond du Lac County Board has approved salary increases for the elected  positions of Clerk of Courts and Sheriff.   The Clerk of Courts currently makes $78,792 and will get a 3.2 percent raise next year and 2.5 percent increase the following year.   The sheriff  gets a nearly $8,000 raise to $110,500 with a three percent increase each of the next three years. County executive Al  Buechel says the increases are necessary to ensure the positions are not paid less than the people they supervise.  The increases go into effect after the November election.
