Nobody was injured following a nearly 40 mile long vehicle chase that started in Fond du Lac County and ended when the chase was terminated in Dane County. The chase started shortly before 7:30pm Wednesday when a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on Highway 151 near state Highway 49. The deputy learned the license plates did not match the vehicle and the driver provided a false name and fled, eluding tire deflation devices. The chase was eventually terminated in Dane County but the operator was identified as a 36-year-old Madison man. He will be facing charges of fleeing/eluding, 2 nd degree recklessly endangering safety, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, resisting/obstructing, and a probation and parole warrant. He is not yet in custody.
