A Horicon man is going to prison for possession of child pornography. Dodge County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Sciascia sentenced 40 year old Bryan Hartley to three years of prison followed by three years of extended supervision for three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Hartley was arrested after officers executed a search warrant at his residence and found a flash drive with child pornography images and videos. The search was conducted after analysts with the Department of Homeland Security received information regarding child pornography that had been shared on the app Kik and one of the IP addresses came back to Hartley.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
