3-8-22 retired ripon college economist says economy doing very well

A retired Ripon College economist says despite inflation the overall economy in the United States is doing very well..  U.S. employers added 678,000 jobs in February and the unemployment rate dropped from four percent to 3.8-percent.  Economist Paul Schoofs says as the omicron wave fades and more Americans venture out to spend at restaurants, shops and hotels, the economy’s health is robust despite surging inflation.  “Without the inflation concern we would probably  have most people dancing in the streets,”  Schoofs said.
