Eleven more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Fond du Lac County. The deaths include nine men and two women. Three people were in their 50s. There have now been 231 COVID-19 deaths in the county since the beginning of the pandemic. The overall number of daily positive cases has dropped significantly since the Omicron variant peaked back in January.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
