3-14-22 fdl st. patrick’s day parade

Fond du Lac residents braved frigid temperatures Saturday afternoon for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.  The parade started at Rees and Main Streets traveling south to Veterans Park.  The parade featured nearly 50 entries, with the best entry winning Irish's Traveling Trophy and also an award for the best kid's entry.

3-14-22 applications being accepted for uwo marching band

Applications are now open for the UW-Oshkosh Titan Thunder Marching Band, which is planned to debut in the fall.  UW Oshkosh students can apply online on the UWO website for several open band positions.  All Titan Thunder members will receive scholarship funds for the inaugural year and every year they remain in the program. The formation of the University’s new marching band was announced last spring and is under the direction of  Joe Scheivert.  The ambitious […]

3-14-22 Eleven more Covid-19 deaths in FDL County

Eleven more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Fond du Lac County.  The deaths include nine men and two women.  Three people were in their 50s.  There have now been 231 COVID-19 deaths in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.   The overall number of daily positive cases has dropped significantly since the Omicron variant peaked back in January.

3-12-22 second person dies in waukesha apartment fire

WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — A second person has died after a fire swept through a Waukesha apartment building earlier this week. Fire and police officials identify the latest victim as 51-year-old Kimberly McQuade. Fifty-year-old Kevin McQuade was the first victim of the Tuesday morning fire at the four-unit building.
