The Fond du Lac Fire Chief has been in contact with the Waukesha Fire Chief after a computer problem delayed the fire department's response to a fatal fire last week. The local unemployment rate is up slightly in the latest reporting period. The February unemployment rate in the city of Fond du Lac was 2.5 percent, up from 1.9 percent in January. In Fond du Lac County the jobless rate jumped from 1.8 to 2.7 percent in February. The unemployment rate in Dodge County is up almost a full percent to 2.8 percent.
