A Fond du Lac man has been charged in connection with setting fire to his house. Charges of arson of a building and criminal damage to property have been filed against Arin Hansen. Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged the porch of a Fond du Lac residence over the weekend. Shortly after 1:30pm Sunday firefighters were called to 284 North Park Aveue where the resident began to extinguish a fire which was contained to the front porch. A Fond du Lac man is in custody and was treated for minor injuries following a high speed chase that ended in a crash. The chase started shortly after 1:30am Saturday when a sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a speeding vehicle at Lakeshore Drive and Kinker Road. The City of Fond du Lac Water Utility has scheduled bi-annual citywide unidirectional water main flushing to begin on Monday. The flushing will begin in the northeast section of the city followed by the southeast on Tuesday and southwest and northwest Wednesday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
