LaGRANGE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say one man was killed and two others were injured following an explosion on a pontoon boat in southeastern Wisconsin. The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works says the southbound lane of traffic on Brooke Street between Division Street and Forest Avenue will be closed beginning Tuesday, April 5.  The lane closure will be in place through the end of day Friday, April 8.  The closure is due to a water main break on Brooke Street.

4-4-22 fire destroys home in fdl county

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a home in Fond du Lac County.  The fire Sunday afternoon destroyed the home at  W7128 Phoenix Drive in the town of Friendship and caused  moderate damage to two neighboring residences.  A malfunctioning small home appliance apparently started the fire.

4-4-22 sheboygan falls police say 8 year old boy died from strangulation

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (AP) — An 8-year-old Sheboygan Falls boy who was hospitalized last week after he was allegedly assaulted by his mother has died. Police Chief Eric Miller said  that it appears the cause of death was strangulation. An autopsy will be performed later this week. Authorities said the incident happened on Wednesday. 4-4-22 Covid-19 deaths in FDL county top 250

Fond du Lac County has topped 250 COVID-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.  On Friday the Health Department reported six more COVID-19 deaths, including a 36 year old woman.  There have now been 251 deaths related to the virus in Fond du Lac County.
