4-26-22 fdl school board elects new president

There's a  changing of the guard on the Fond du Lac School Board.  The board has elected Mark Henschel as School Board president and Todd Schreiter Board vice president.  Henschel replaced Mark Jurgella who did not run for reelection this year.  The board held it's reorganization meeting Monday night.

4-26-22 no foul play suspected in death of fdl man found in lake winnebago

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says foul play is not suspected in  the death of a Fond du Lac man found near the western shore of Lake Winnebago over the weekend.  A citizen reported finding the body partially submerged in the water along the shoreline on Lakeshore Drive Sunday afternoon.   Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says preliminary autopsy findings  show no signs of injury or trauma.   Waldschmidt […]

4-25-22 fdl porch fire

Improperly discarded smoking materials are being blamed for starting a fire  that damage the porch of a Fond du Lac residence.  Shortly before 3pm Sunday firefighters were called to 201 East First Street  and quickly extinguished the fire, which caused minor damage.  Nobody was injured in the fire.

4-25-22 waupun garage fire

Nobody was injured in a garage fire in Waupun.  Firefighters were called to the John and Janice DeVries home at 520 Bly Street Friday and discovered a fire burning  in a rear corner  extending  to the roof.   Crews  quickly knocked down the fire before it extended to the nearby house  and another garage.  Damage was contained to the garage.   Investigators say debris from welding started the fire.  The fire investigation determined that […]
