Newly appointed Dodge County Clerk of Courts Kelly Enright has been sworn into office. Enright was sworn in last week by Dodge County Circuit Judge Brian Pfitzinger. Enright was appointed unanimously by the four Judges in Dodge County and will serve the remainder of the term recently vacated by the retirement of Lynn Hron who had served Dodge County for 19 years as Clerk of Courts. Enright has announced that she will be running to fill the Clerk of Courts position which will be up for election in November.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
