The School District of North Fond du Lac is seeking community input as it begins its search for a new superintendent. Aaron Sadoff is stepping down to become the executive director of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation. The NFDL School Board is conducting a community survey on desired skills, values, experience and priorities residents want to see in the next superintendent. Applications are due June 9, 2022 for the superintendency position, which was posted Friday. The District has hired a CESA 6 team to help conduct the search and hiring process. The board hopes to select three finalists for interviews on June 20.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
