MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A former state lawmaker who also once served as Wisconsin’s tourism secretary has pleaded guilty to failing to pay nearly $200,000 in employment taxes. 5-17-22 six year old injured in car vs bike crash in fdl

5-17-22 waupun man convicted in murder of grandmother

A Waupun man has been convicted of killing his grandmother.  A Fond du Lac jury  has found Gregory Spittel  guilty of multiple charges including second degree reckless homicide in the August 2019 beating death of 75 year old Carol Foreman.  The verdict was reached after the jury listened to five days of testimony last week and closing arguments Monday.    The jury heard testimony that Spittel was upset Foreman  spoke to police about his  […]

The Fond du Lac street reconstruction season is well underway.  Public Works director Paul DeVries says work is underway at the Johnson Street Mall intersections.  DeVries says  a major reconstruction project is also underway on Military Road from Western Avenue to Superior Street.  DeVries says Pioneer Road will be under construction for the majority of the season.
