5-16-22 marian university graduation ceremonies

Fond du Lac's Marian University held its 80th spring commencement ceremony earlier this month at Herr-Baker Field Baseball Stadium. In total, 234 students graduated including 149 undergraduate, 35 adult, 51 graduate, and five doctoral candidates.

5-16-22 9th street closure in fdl this week

The Fond du Lac Public Works Department says a portion of 9th Street will be closed starting Monday morning.  East Ninth Street between Center Street and Marr Street will be closed beginning  Monday and remain closed until the end of day Friday, May 20.  The closure will be in place to allow the construction and maintenance division to make utility repairs.

5-13-22 town of alto barn destroyed by fire

Fire destroyed a barn in western Fond du Lac County early Friday morning.  When firefighters arrived on the scene on Mielke Road in the town of Alto flames were visible from the metal structure.  The barn was a total loss and four goats inside the barn died in the fire.  The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

5-13-22 fdl county man dies after being run over by drunken driver

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Fond du Lac County man who was run over by an intoxicated driver.  The incident happened Thursday afternoon on Korth Road near Ridge Road in the town of Eldorado.  First responders found a man laying in the roadway on Korth Road  with serious injuries and attempted lifesaving efforts.  The victim, a 58 year old Van Dyne man, was pronounced dead at […]

5-13-22 eden barn fire appears to be electrical in nature

5-13-22 father, two young children die in fire

BARRON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say two young children and their father have died in a house fire in Barron County. Dispatchers received a 911 call about 3:30 a.m. Thursday. The caller said three people were still inside the burning house in Barron.
