6-20-22 two finalists for nfdl school superintendent

Two high school principals are finalists to be the next superintendent in the North Fond du Lac School District.   Sheboygan Falls High School principal Kevin Krutzik and Appleton East High School principal Matthew Mineau will be interviewed by the school board Monday.  Krutzik is a former assistant principal at Fond du Lac High School.  Longtime superintendent Aaron Sadoff is stepping down after accepting a job as executive director of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation.

A Waupun school teacher is being honored  by the  Fond du Lac Chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association.  The Association has announced that  Leigh Kohlmann is the 2022 Badger of the Year.  Kohlman graduated from UW Madison in 1987 and  currently teaches science at Rock River Intermediate School in Waupun.  Recently, she has also been awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.  In addition to teaching, Kohlmann serves on […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The bodies of two men who went into a rain-swollen drainage ditch in Milwaukee to try to save a 10-year-old boy have been recovered. 6-18-22 baby formula plant inspections skipped

U.S. regulators have historically inspected baby formula plants at least once a year, but they did not inspect any of the three biggest manufacturers in 2020.  That's according to federal records reviewed by The Associated Press. The FDA has consistently inspected infant formula facilities annually. But in early 2020, the FDA pulled most of its safety inspectors from the field because of the pandemic.
