Construction is underway on the second phase of the largest expansion in Central Wisconsin Christian School history. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Tuesday for the 31,000 square foot addition that includes a state of the art Ag Pro Tech Center, greenhouse, agriculture and technology classrooms, elementary classrooms and pre k-5 Learning Center. CWC director of Advancement Gregg Zonnefeld says construction is expected to be completed this time next year. Future phases include new music classrooms, fine arts performance spaces and an athletic complex.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
