8-18-22 warmer fall, winter forecast for wisconsin

It's been a warm, humid summer in Wisconsin, and the National Weather Service says early forecast models predict that warm weather may continue this fall and into winter.  National Weather Service meteorologist Paul Collar says there is a bit of a signal for a potential for warmer conditions as we go into the fall.  He says there is no real clear signal yet as far as precipitation is concerned.

8-18-22 harbor freight tools coming to fdl

A popular national chain store for tools is coming to Fond  du Lac.  Harbor Freight Tools says in a press release it is expected to open this fall on North Pioneer Road in the old Best Buy building. Construction is underway.  The store is expected to employ between 25 to 30 people. Nationwide Harbor Freight employs 25,000 people at more than 1,300 locations.

8-17-22 high speed chase-fdl county

(AP) — A federal appeals court says Dane County health officials didn't violate free speech protections when they cited a Middleton cafe for advertising itself as a “mask-free zone” during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. 8-17-22 fdl man killed after motorcycle strikes bear in montana

A Fond du Lac man died after his motorcycle struck a black bear in Montana.   The Montana Highway Patrol says the 66 year old man was southbound on Montana Highway 83 when he struck a bear crossing the highway and was thrown from the motorcycle.  He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.  State game wardens found the injured bear and killed it.
