Rackow’s Family Sausage in Juda, Wisconsin has issued issued a Class I recall for pork lard sold from its store. The recalled product includes four pound tubs of pork lard purchased before August first.  The recall was announced  based on evidence collected during a routine inspection that  shows that the product was not produced under a proper food safety plan.  No illnesses have been reported.  Anyone with signs or symptoms of a foodborne […]

8-15-22 uw-oshkosh, mptc sign articulation agreement

Moraine Park Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh have signed an articulation agreement.  The agreement will allow students pursuing associate of arts and associate of science liberal arts degrees to transfer from Moraine Park and continue their education at U-W Oshkosh with confirmed junior status.  The agreement was signed Friday at Moraine Park's Fond  du Lac campus.  Moraine Park will offer both degrees beginning this fall.   Earlier this year, the College signed a similar […]

8-15-22 fdl teen arrested following gun incident

Nobody was injured and Fond du Lac police are investigating after a report of gunshots fired outside at a Fond du Lac apartment complex.  Police were called Saturday morning to North Peters Avenue and arrested a 17 year old Fond du Lac male.  Police believe he fired a handgun into the air toward an unoccupied field behind the apartment complex.

8-15-22 prosecutors charge man with cold case double homicide

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors have charged a Weyauwega man with killing a couple 30 years ago over a snowmobile accident. Fifty-two-year-old Tony Haase was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the stabbing deaths of Tanna Tongstad and Timothy Mumbrue in March 1992.
