Fond du Lac Police are investigating after the body of a Fond du Lac man was found in the Fond du Lac River.  Police say there are no obvious signs of foul play.   Shortly before 9am Tuesday rescue personnel were called to the area of the Fond du Lac River near the 500 block of Water Street where they recovered the body.  The victim was positively identified as 49 year old Burton F. 9-27-22 milwaukee hospital staff must reapply for vaccine exemption

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Employees of a Milwaukee-based health care provider who cited religious reasons for opting out of a mandated coronavirus vaccination are now required to receive a shot or reapply for an exemption. 9-27-22 fdl area united way fund drive underway

The Fond du Lac Area  United Way fund drive is officially underway.  Executive Director Amber Kilawee says this year's goal is $500,000.  "99% of what we raise here stays here to impact one in three people throughout the county,"  Kilawee told WFDL news.  Kilawee says this year's pacesetter, Holiday Automotive, helped kickstart the campaign raising more than $64,000.
