10-26-22 fdl fire and rescue hazmat team cleans up hazardous material spill

The Fond  du Lac Fire and Rescue HazMat team helped clean up a hazardous material leak from a semi-tractor trailer on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac.  At 8:30pm Monday  law enforcement pulled over the semi on southbound 41  just south of Highway 151 after noticing a substance leaking from the rear cargo doors.   Fond du Lac Fire Rescue personnel  used absorbent material to prevent  the leak from spreading on the […]

10-26-22 fdl man charged with voter fraud

Fond du Lac County District Attorney and Republican Attorney General candidate Eric Toney has charged another Fond du Lac resident with voter fraud.   Edward Malnar is accused of double voting in Wisconsin and Michigan in the November 2020 election.  Malnar is charged with election fraud and obstructing an officer.   Toney said while this is not indicative of "a stolen election"  he says he will  "continue to defend our election laws and our democracy."  […]

10-25-22 high speed chase

An Oshkosh man is in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac.  The chase started shortly before 5:30pm Monday on Lakeshore Drive near Highway N, and was terminated as the vehicle neared the city of Fond du Lac. A Sheriff's deputy was able to obtain a license plate and the driver was found hiding inside a New Holstein residence.

10-25-22 beaver dam redevelopment project

A state grant will help assist in a downtown Beaver Dam redevelopment project.  The more than $145,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation will be used to assist in the clean up of a vacant car dealership and auto repair site with known soil contamination.  Plans call for selling the property to a Madison developer  to construct housing and commercial space.
