Nobody was injured and a 38 year old man was arrested after bringing a knife into a polling place in West Bend. According to police the man demanded staff stop the voting. League of Women Voters of Wisconsin director Debra Cronmiller says the polling location is located in the public library. Cronmiller says police quickly brought the situation under control. The incident happened shortly after 12:30pm Tuesday. The polling site was reopened shortly after 1pm.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
