The president of Ripon College says a major building renovation and expansion project will help drive college admissions, enrollment and student retention. College president Victoria Folse says the largest project is a $24.5 million renovation and expansion of the science center, scheduled to open in the fall of 2024. Folse says the project will include 19,000 square feet of new construction, including new laboratory, classroom and gathering spaces. Folse says construction is also scheduled to begin this spring on a new $8.5 million, 157,000 square foot on-campus stadium. In addition to a new football and soccer complex, the facility will be designed to serve the entire student body and community. Folse says the project has been in the works for a year and is designed to help boost student enrollment. Planning for upgrades to the residence halls is underway. Folse says the college hopes to finalize plans within the next year.
